My name is Mark and I have been a maths teacher in the North East of England for over 10-years. I love Maths and have taught the discipline across a variety of age groups and levels, being lucky enough to craft bespoke curriculum and lead across A Level mathematics provision through the years.
I am passionate about the power of education in improving life chances of young people having worked with some of the most disadvantaged young people within the local community. I continue to want to develop myself and other teachers to help support young people in achieving high quality outcomes, this site is a place for me put together my research, reading and practice to aid in this reflection.
Browse this site and I hope you will find interesting and helpful information; whether this is general pedagogy, cognitive science, educational theory, philosophy and classroom practice, maths specific content, or research and analysis into policy proposals and issues across the sector – have a look around!
